Pink has been forced to postpone her Sydney tour dates after being admitted to hospital.

The American singer/songwriter has been hospitalised twice since Sunday, (5 August) according to Live Nation.

After checking in on Sunday and being discharged soon after, Pink was readmitted yesterday (6 August) and diagnosed with dehydration and a gastric virus, which forced the Secrets songstress to cancel Monday night’s performance.

Live Nation’s statement said: “Pink will remain in hospital overnight, continuing her treatment and recovery.”

It is the second performance she has had to postpone so far, after having to cancel her 4 August show.

“It is with great frustration that I bring you this news,” she tweeted at the time. “Friday’s show will be postponed. I was hoping a couple of days of rest would help me kick this sick, but not at the speed I was hoping for.

“I appreciate your well wishes and understanding + I’m sorry.”

Pink was set to play another five shows in Sydney over the next week, but it’s not yet known whether she will be well enough to perform.

Over the weekend, Pink slammed the press for claiming she was “hitting the beach” instead of focusing on her recovery.

In a lengthy Instagram post, she explained to fans: “I scheduled this tour meticulously, trying to do what was best for my children, while also putting on the best and most physically demanding and beautiful show of my life.

“I’ve already been sick twice (kids as well) on this Australian tour, but the first time we got sick, I was able to push through.

“You can think whatever you want, it’s your right, but I have never taken advantage of any one in my entire life.

“I have never fucked off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play. I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling.”

Last week, Pink unveiled the video for her sensual dance-pop anthem, Secrets, which features some of the sexiest choreography we’ve seen all year.

In the video, the star and her tour dancers showcase some frisky dance moves with a same-sex partner against a graffiti backdrop.

It’s the fourth official single from the iconic performer’s seventh studio album, Beautiful Trauma, following What About Us, the title track and Whatever You Want.

Upon release, Beautiful Trauma topped the charts in the UK, US, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Ireland and New Zealand, and has sold over two million copies worldwide. Not bad in the age of streaming, eh?
