God Said No, Omar Apollo’s upcoming sophomore album, will feature a spoken word intro from The Last Of Us star Pedro Pascal.

In a recent interview with ABC News, the singer revealed that the actor, who he has been close with “for, like, a while now” will be included on the album’s last track, ‘Glow’.

“There was a song that he really loved, the song ‘Glow’,” said Apollo. “I was like, ‘It’d be really cool to hear you speak before that song plays,’ because the song is about grief and heartbreak.

“I thought it’d be a really good idea for him to speak on like a grief in his life or a story in his life. He sent me a voice memo, I asked him to, and then chopped it up and that’s how it turned out.”

Additionally, God Said No includes a song simply titled ‘Pedro’. With Apollo’s above comments, it makes sense that his voice memo is its own track, interlude or whatever, that subsequently leads into ‘Glow’.

Alas, we’ll have to wait until 28 June to find out.

Apollo told ABC News that his new era is his interpretation of “lo que sera, sera”, which translates to “it is what it is” or “whatever will be, will be”. And, when announcing the album on Instagram, he said it is a “reflection of my life for the past 2 years”.

God Said No has been supported by the songs ‘Spite‘ and ‘Dispose of Me‘. Check out the album artwork and tracklist below.
