T.I. has broken his silence over The Chainsmokers singer Drew Taggart’s recent claim that he got punched after kissing the rapper on the cheek.

Taggart shared the news in a TikTok in which he said, “T.I. just literally punched me in the face.”

As one his bandmates laughed in the background, he continued: “We’re in a vibe and I, like, gave him a kiss on the cheek – it was totally my fault.

“He was like, ‘Don’t do that’. And I was like, ‘OK’. He pushed me off and I was like, ‘Alright, my bad’,” he went on. Pall then cut in, claiming that a member of T.I.’s crew approached him and said, ‘You need to get your boy’.”

T.I. quickly moved on from the incident, with Taggart further explaining that he “was like, ‘Alright cool, we’re good’. It was the weirdest interaction ever.”

The singer took responsibility for what happened and stated that T.I. was “fully in the right” to punch him.

Taggart added: “I was feeling the vibes way too hard and I kissed T.I. on the cheek. And he punched me in the face for it! It’s like, fully fine.”
