Repeat attacks on Clonezone, an LGBTQ+ adult store in Manchester’s Gay Village, have prompted Crimestoppers to trigger a £2,000 ($2,620) reward and appeal.

The shop, which is located on Sackville Street, was subjected to four attacks in recent months.

Its latest, which took place on 22 May, saw a masked man riding a motorbike smash the glass door before speeding off towards Bloom Street.

The bike, which is a distinctive red/orange colour off-road style GASGAS vehicle, is believed to have been used in a previous attack on 24 April.

Another bike was used for other incidents on 22 March and 13 April.

Now, Crimestoppers is offering up to £2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

“We know that some people won’t speak to the authorities, which is why we exist: to give everyone the option of telling us what they know without giving any of their own personal details,” Gary Murray, North West Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said.

“Our charity knows it can be hard to give information about crime, especially if it’s about someone close to you or in your wider circle of friends and associates.”

Crimestoppers can be reached via its anonymous form here or by calling its freephone number on 0800 555 111.
