The cereal was launched alongside GLAAD on Spirit Day (17 October).
Kellogg’s has teamed up with GLAAD to launch their All Together Cereal. The box will include six different cereal boxes packaged inside one larger one, which the company hopes will show how we all belong together.
The cereal was launched on Spirit Day, an event held on the third Thursday of October to bring awareness to the levels of bullying faced by the LGBTQ community. Participants are encouraged to wear the colour purple to show their support.
Cereals included in the All Together box are Frosties, Fruit Loops, Rice Krispies, Raisin Bran, Frosted Min-Wheats and Corn Flakes.
The company also announced that it was donating $50,000 to help support GLAAD’s campaigns
Although the cereal is not available on UK shelves, people who are after it can order it from the Kellogg’s website.
In a statement, Priscilla Koranteng, the Vice President for Global Talent and Chief Diversity Officer at Kellogg’s, said: “At Kellogg, we are firmly committed to equity and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live.”
“We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community. For more than 100 years, Kellogg has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table.”
John McCourt, the Senior Director of Development and Integrated Marketing at GLAAD, said: “We are proud to partner with Kellogg’s again this year to help extend the important message of Spirit Day to households across the country.
“The All Together cereal encompasses the values of diversity, equality, and solidarity that Spirit Day is all about, and we hope that LGBTQ youth everywhere receive the messages loud and clear.”
