Apprehensive.
I’ll be honest, I’m a bit of a self-care cynic. I love the idea of slowing down and putting on a face mask, but my busy brain rarely allows me to properly switch off, and when I do, I don’t always feel the magical effects everyone else seems to rave about.
I also find walking into these sorts of experiences surprisingly anxiety-inducing. I immediately feel a bit out of my depth, untrained, if you will, and unsure of the etiquette. There’s always a small part of my brain overthinking the experience rather than actually experiencing it.
