Drag super monsters the Boulet Brothers have announced a multi-project deal to expand their Dragula franchise.

The duo have partnered with AMC Networks’ horror-centred streaming service, Shudder.

The deal will include a fifth season of hit reality series Dragula, a brand new spin-off series and an additional special set of episodes which will be introduced to the Dragula universe within the next 12 months.

Season four of Dragula was one of Shudder’s most watched series of 2021.

Contestants competed for a $100,000 cash prize and the title of the World’s Next Drag Supermonster.

Challenges included costume-making, special effects makeup and live performances.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be a Dragula fan. This new partnership with Shudder (and the AMC family) provides an incredible opportunity for us to expand our cinematic universe and to flesh out all of the characters, stories, and stars that audiences have fallen in love with over the years,” the Boulet Brothers wrote in a statement.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the content that we’re about to unleash, and if fans have felt shocked and engaged with our content in the past, they are truly not ready for what’s coming next. It’s going to be a wild, fun, and terrifying new ride.”

The first series under the new deal wrapped filming and is set to be released this autumn.

Details of the upcoming Dragula spinoff’s content and cast are still closely guarded.

However, more information on the creative aspects of the project will be released imminently.

General manager of Shudder, Craig Engler, stated: “With ‘The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula and Resurrection,’ the Boulet Brothers have proven to be uniquely talented producers and storytellers, creating innovative, inclusive programming that smashes genres and draws a large and loyal following. We’re excited to be working with them on their upcoming new competition series, with more to come in 2023.”
