Here’s some exciting news for UK fans of Will & Grace…
Despite airing its autumn season finale in the United States last month, the hotly-anticipated revival of the groundbreaking LGBTQ TV series has yet to show a single episode in the United Kingdom.
Well, that’s all about to change, as season nine of the NBC comedy has finally found a home on our shores.
You can catch brand new episodes of Will & Grace from January 2018 on Channel 5.
After an 11-year absence, it was announced earlier this year that the show would make a comeback with all four main cast members – Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes – set to return.
Before the reboot even began airing in the United States, NBC had increased the new season from 10 episodes to 16 episodes, and ordered a 13-episode follow-up season, cementing their faith in the show.
The original run of Will & Grace ran from 1998 to 2006, and aired in the UK on Channel 4.
As well as winning 16 Emmy Awards during its eight seasons, the show is credited as leading the way for LGBTQ representation on TV, featuring the first openly gay lead characters on a primetime US network series.
Back in 2016, the cast reunited for a special election-themed web episode where they encouraged Americans to use their right to vote.
Watch that while you wait for season nine below.
