Are you ready to tumble outta bed and stumble into a Dolly Parton original musical?
The music legend has confirmed a stage adaptation of her iconic movie is about to hit the West End. Set for opening at the Savoy Theatre in January 2019, there’s a host of famous faces set to step into the beloved roles of Violet, Judy and Doralee.
Louise Redknapp will play feisty office leader Violet Newstead, with Love Island winner Amber Davies as recently divorced housewife Judy Bernly. They’ll be joined by West End leading lady Natalie McQueen as Dolly’s signature role of Doralee Rhodes, with Brian Conley as sexist office boss Franklin Hart.

9 to 5 The Musical tells the story of three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the girls manage to reform their office – or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?
The show features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, a book by Patricia Resnick, and will be directed by Jeff Calhoun. The West End production is based on the 20th Century Fox Picture movie. The show received its stage debut in 2009 on Broadway, starring Allison Janney.
