Gay Twitter is absolutely famished for Cameron Diaz

I have no clue when or where the Gay Twitter renaissance of Ridley Scott’s middle-of-the-road crime thriller, The Counselor, came from, but thank the heavens it did, because it’s given us some of the best memes of the whole year. Cameron Diaz’s performance as cold-blooded femme fatale mastermind Malkina has been at the forefront of those memes – in one particular scene, the Charlie’s Angel icon, donning a heavily embellished denim hood like she’s sashayed in from a drag brunch, delivers the line – “I’m famished…” – with such dead-eyed menace that it feels almost tailor-made for Gay Twitter to seize upon years later.
