Guardians of the Galaxy star Lee Pace revealed that he’s married to longtime boyfriend, Matthew Foley.

If you’ve been following the Driven actor on Instagram, chances are you’ve noticed his relationship with the Thom Browne executive.

In the last year, fans started to speculate about the couple’s marital status after Pace was seen at the 2021 Met Gala sporting a gold band on his wedding finger.

The rumours continued to swirl a few months later when he was asked about the ring in an interview with The Cut.

“What? No! How did that get there? Gus [his dog], do you know anything about that?” he replied.

However in his new interview for GQ, the Foundation star finally opened up about his marriage to Foley and revealed that they met through a mutual friend.

“I said to my friend, Nick, ‘You know a lot of people, who do you have for me?’ And luckily, it worked out,” he revealed.

Pace went on to say that he found a person he could “be weird around” in regards to his partnership with Foley.

“What I’ll say about being married, it was once described to me as an endless sleepover with your weirdest friend,” he explained.  “In our experience, that is absolutely true. If you’ve found one person you can be weird around, hold on tight.”

As for his future life plans with Foley, the 43-year-old revealed that the two have their eyes on building a family.

“I’d love to have kids. I think there’s nothing better than little kids running around,” he added.

Over the years, Pace has kept an extremely tight lid on his personal life and romantic relationships.

In 2018, the Bodies Bodies Bodies star opened up about his sexuality for the first time after he refused to label himself during an interview with W Magazine.

“I’ve dated men, I’ve dated women,” he said. “I don’t know why anyone would care. I’m an actor and I play roles. To be honest, I don’t know what to say – I find your question intrusive,” he told the publication.

Shortly after the interview, Pace took to Twitter to clarify his statement and revealed that he was a “member of the queer community.”

“In a recent phone interview, I was asked questions that I wasn’t expecting and found myself momentarily at a loss for the right words,” he tweeted.

“My privacy is important to me, so I protect it. When interviewed by the media, I keep the focus on my work. As a member of the queer community, I understand the importance of living openly, being counted, and happily owning who I am.

“That’s how I’ve always lived my life just as it’s been important to me to portray queer characters with dignity for my entire career: A Soldier’s Girl (Showtime. 2003). The Normal Heart (Broadway. 2011).

“Halt and Catch Fire (AMC. 2014-2017). Angels in America. (Broadway. NOW.) Onward, with Pride.”

Congratulations to the happy couple.
