For decades and across genres, queer artists have given music some of the most iconic anthems of all time.

GAY TIMES has teamed up with Vevo to celebrate a diverse range of LGBTQ+ artists and allies this Pride Month to create playlists steeped in queer excellence, both old and new.

After launching Queer & Now, Queeroes, Queer Indie and Big Queer Party last summer as part of the partnership, all four playlists have been refreshed for 2024.

They will be joined by six brand new playlists to further showcase the breadth of queer talent in music, and the timeless anthems LGBTQ+ artists have created.

Victoria Monét, Kehlani, Steve Lacy and Tinashe all feature in Queer R&B, bringing the smooth and sensual vibes to your Pride celebrations this summer.

Queer Hip-Hop explores the richness of queer talent in the genre, including hits by Lil Nas X, Dua Saleh, Princess Nokia and Da Brat.

Spanish-language artists including La Cruz, Kali Uchis and Bad Gyal lead the charge on Queer Latin, featuring some of the most beloved queer stars from across the region.

Celebrate the queer star you are with Karaoke Hour: Pride Edition, featuring classic hits such as Robyn’s ‘Dancing On My Own’, Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ and Diana Ross’s ‘I’m Coming Out’.

To celebrate GAY TIMES’ 40th birthday, head back to the decade where the LGBTQ+ media brand began with Queer 80s. Sylvester’s ‘You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)’ and Pet Shop Boys ‘West End Girls’ are among a list of timeless favourites.

Queer 00s captures the sound of Pride at the start of the millennium, with popular hits from Scissor Sisters, Gossip and La Roux.

All 10 playlists are available to stream worldwide on YouTube, as well as played throughout June across seven Vevo channels on Connected TV in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

The channels include:

“I’m delighted GAY TIMES and Vevo have continued this partnership for a second year, expanding the playlist offering to celebrate and spotlight the diversity of genres where LGBTQ+ artists and allies excel,” said Lewis Corner, SVP Global Content at GAY TIMES.

“Queer artists have always and continue to be some of the most vital voices in our community, creating change, connection and joy in music that empowers who we are.”

Elliot Jaillet, Director, Programming & Editorial at Vevo said: “Vevo is proud to once again be collaborating with GAY TIMES this Pride Month to amplify the incredible musical achievements of LGBTQ+ artists around the world.

“While Vevo already shines a spotlight on these artists all year long, Pride Month provides a valuable opportunity to further underscore the cultural impact and staying power of LGBTQ+ artists of all genres.

“From pop to hip-hop, and R&B to Latin, we’re tapping into our library of iconic music videos from the past 40 years to deliver special celebratory programming to global fanbases.”

All ten playlists are available to stream now.
