Basketball star Brittney Griner and her wife, Cherelle Griner, are heading for divorce.

On Thursday (30 July), the WNBA player filed a petition in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Georgia, stating that their marriage is "irretrievably broken" and that there is "no hope of reconciliation", according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
