The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season eight have arrived and – praise Ru – it looks like the show has listened to last season’s biggest criticism.

Set to premiere later this year on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, the new season will – as per – see 12 queens battle it out across a series of challenges, from designing their own runway looks and delivering Teen Choice Award-worthy performances in acting challenges to, of course, impersonating celebrities in the iconic Snatch Game.

The winner of each maxi-challenge will take home a coveted RuPeter Badge, while the bottom two queens will lip-sync for their lives in a bid to stay in the competition.

Whoever is ultimately crowned the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar will join The Vivienne, Lawrence Chaney, Krystal Versace, Danny Beard, Ginger Johnson, Kyran Thrax and Bones in the Drag Race UK Hall of Fame.

Season eight premieres this autumn on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, with RuPaul returning to the judging panel alongside Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr. No guest judges have been announced just yet, but – again, as per – expect a revolving door of British pop icons, camp legends and other famous faces sashaying down the runway.

The queens competing this season are Alik, Anita Piss, Coral-Hole Mandi, Flesh, KY Kelly, Lucky Roy Singh, ma_danni_x, Mocha, Naya Thorn, Paris Baby and Tequila Thirst.
