RHOBH star Taylor Armstrong has joined the Orange County cast in a historic first for the Real Housewives franchises.
The star, who was a main cast member in the first three seasons of the Beverly Hills version of the show, is set to appear in Orange Country’s 17th season as a Friend, People reported.
In doing so, Armstrong becomes the first Housewife to switch franchises since the show began in 2006.
Confirming the news on Instagram on 1 August, Bravo said: “We’ve had ENOUGH of not having Taylor Armstrong on our screens… she is officially joining the cast of #RHOC for Season 17 as a friend-of!”
A number of Real Housewives showed their support for Armstrong, with RHOBH icon Camille Meyer among them.
“Congratulations @officialtaylorarmstrong,” she wrote to her former co-star. “I’m so happy for you! Go OG!!”
Gretchen Christine Rossi added: “Love this!”
Meanwhile, Sonja Morgan simply shared three emojis – two hearts and an orange.
Although no release date has been confirmed, filming for season 17 of the Real Housewives of Orange County began in July.
