In recent years, LGBTQIA+ visibility has grown to new heights thanks to people worldwide bravely embracing their sexualities and gender identities publicly, including celebrities. From top models and high-profile actors to pop stars and professional athletes, some of the entertainment sphere's biggest names have come to the forefront with powerful declarations of self-acceptance.

While a person's sexual orientation or gender identity should no longer be breaking news, there's no denying that LGBTQIA+ representation within the film, TV and pop culture sphere positively impacts those struggling to embrace and love their own identities – especially queer, trans and non-binary youth.

With 2026 officially in full swing, we’ve rounded up all the stars who proudly – and publicly – came out this year (so far).
