Gus Kenworthy is not here for your homophobia.
The medal-winning freeskier, who is one of only two openly gay male athletes from Team USA at the Winter Olympics this year, shared a kiss with his boyfriend Matthew Wilkas – a cute moment that was captured live on camera.
“My childhood self would never have dreamed of seeing a gay kiss on TV at the Olympics but for the first time ever a kid watching at home CAN! Love is love is love,” he wrote on Twitter after the moment.

But of course there were some who weren’t very happy to see two men happily in love on their TV screens.
“It’s not normal for a man to kiss his fellow man,” wrote one homophobe on Twitter, before asking: “Question is, if men marry men and women marry women, who will produce children in this world?”

I just shake my head at this “logic”. Gay marriage has been legal in my country, Canada, for well over a decade and the sky hasn’t fallen in. It is not even something that is talked about anymore. Maybe worry about gun laws instead ffs!
