This is my first column for Gay Times. I am excited by the opportunity to write for this iconic magazine that I used to look at wistfully on the top shelf of WHSmith over three decades ago as an uncertain teenager.  

So much has changed in that time, but clearly not enough given the social, economic and health inequalities, prejudice and fear so many in the LGBTQIA+ community still face. As Chief Executive of the LGBTQIA+ charity Stonewall, I will be using this column to muse on some of the live issues impacting our community.
