La bola negra: Netflix’s sweeping gay epic receives new trailer, and it's stunning
The Los Javis-directed film is currently generating Oscar buzz.
La bola negra, the upcoming gay epic directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, has received a new trailer.
Inspired by the unfinished work of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca and Alberto Conejero’s play La piedra oscura, the film is set across 1932, 1937 and 2017, exploring the intertwined lives of three gay men as they navigate sexuality, desire, pain and generational trauma.
La bola negra boasts an ensemble cast, with Guitarricadelafuente as Sebastián, Carlos González as Alberto and Miguel Bernardeau as Rafael Rodríguez Rapún. Additional stars include Milo Quesada, Lola Dueñas, Penélope Cruz, Antonio de la Torre, Natalia de Molina, Albert Pla, Yenesi Suárez, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Daniel Ibáñez, Julio Torres and Glenn Close.
