This new production, from American Sing-Song (comedy duo Jake Brasch and Nadja Leonard-Hooper) has a completely unhinged premise: we’re introduced to a small religious cult in Nebraska, who believe that their world will end unless they wear butt plugs at all times. It turns out their belief is true and, following a Rapture-like event known as “The Great Sucking”, they seem to be the only people left on Earth.
