We’ll start this review with a caveat: before attending the press night of Heathers the Musical, we had heard various negative reports about the new venue, The Arts at Marble Arch, at which it is now playing. This temporary venue – which serves as a replacement for The Arts Theatre in Leicester Square, currently undergoing significant refurbishments – has been set up directly outside Marble Arch station, on the corner of Hyde Park. We’ve heard that outside noise can impact performances here, on busy weekends and/or when events are taking place in Hyde Park; it didn’t particularly impact the performance we saw (on a quiet Monday evening) but it may be worth considering if you’re planning to pay a visit.
