Kit Connor and Joe Locke dish on their unforgettable journey with Heartstopper and the viral "This was my Heartstopper" meme. 

On 17 July, the highly anticipated conclusion to the beloved LGBTQIA+ series, Heartstopper Forever, will finally premiere on Netflix.

The film, which is based on Alice Oseman's webcomic, follows an "inseparable" Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke), who are forced to grapple with the "reality of a long-distance relationship" when Nick prepares to leave for university, while Charlie finds independence at school.

"Doubts take hold, and their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet," the synopsis reads. "Meanwhile, their friends are also navigating the ups and downs of love and friendship, confronting the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on. Can first loves really last forever?"

Ahead of the film's premiere, Connor and Locke spoke with Gay Times' very own Malik Haddington-Ahmed about all things Heartstopper – including the positive impact the show and their characters have had on LGBTQIA+ viewers worldwide.
