From fan-favourite romances to award-winning fiction, these queer books are getting the screen treatment.
In recent years, the LGBTQIA+ community has been blessed with an influx of incredible queer-centred TV series and films, such as Fellow Travelers, Heated Rivalry, Red, White & Royal Blue and Bottoms. While some of these projects stem from original ideas, many of these now-beloved queer classics were adapted from acclaimed novels.
Fortunately, the book-to-film and TV pipeline shows no signs of slowing down, especially when it comes to LGBTQIA+ content. For this list, we’ve rounded up all the confirmed book adaptations set to hit our screens over the next few years.

What’s 15 Days about?
Based on Vitor Martins’ hit young adult LGBTQIA+ novel of the same name, the film follows Felipe (Miguel Lallo), a queer teen looking forward to leaving school and his bullies behind for summer break.
However, his plans for a peaceful holiday are disrupted when his mother Rita (Débora Falabella) reveals that his neighbour Caio (Diego Lira) will be staying with them for 15 days while his parents are away.
The news does not sit well with Felipe, who has long harboured a secret crush on Caio. Over the course of 15 days, Felipe is forced to co-exist with him while navigating their differences, his insecurities and lingering romantic feelings.
What do we know so far?
Miguel Lallo and Diego Lira lead the coming-of-age film as Felipe and Caio, while Débora Falabella stars as Felipe’s mother. Mariana Santos, Silvio Guindane, Olivia Araújo, Augusto Madeira and Fernando Caruso round out the supporting cast. Daniel Lieff directs, with Ray Tavares and Victor Brandt credited as co-writers.
