Musician Caleb Shomo has opened up about the hateful anti-LGBTQIA+ pushback he dealt with after coming out.

Back in May, the lead singer of Beartooth came out as gay in an emotional post on Instagram.

"I am a proudly gay man. This is something I've been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now. It's been difficult to navigate the feelings surrounding the subject and figure out what to do with this fact. I will only do what makes me happy at the deepest level and what is the most honest depiction of who I am," he wrote.

Now, four months since that fateful day, Shomo has shed some light on his life after coming out, including the homophobic pushback he received from online trolls.

During a recent appearance on The Breakdown with Nath & Johnny podcast, Shomo revealed that he first began telling people he was gay in September 2025.
