Hold on to your wigs because Tove Lo is catapulting us back to the start of the millennium with her new music video.
The Swedish artist released her euphoric banger 2 Die 4 earlier this summer and has now blessed up with its accompanying visual, directed by Anna-Lisa Himma.
The music video sees Tove Lo fully embrace early noughties fashion in a club setting, while later parts see her dancers get wet and wild to the song’s infectious chorus.
Speaking about the inspiration for the video, Tove explained: “We wanted to make a pop bitch Y2K experience. With all the choreo, the outfits, the wetness. I think we more than delivered.”
2 Die 4 samples the iconic hook from Popcorn, originally released by Hot Butter in 1972. The single was co-written by Tove along with Oscar Gorres and Gershon Kingsley.
Tove Lo will release her fifth studio album Dirt Femme on 14 October, and support it with a new headline tour of Europe.
